Re: how to change font manual at gnome 3 (gnome tweak tool crash)

You can change the settings by installing the dconf-editor and using it to reset them back to default.
Code:
sudo yum install dconf-editor
- then in the editor navigate to /org/gnome/desktop/interface
- all of your changes should be bold, click on them then click the Set to Default button

You can check http://www.infinality.net/blog/ later. This override works great with my Fedora. Fonts look as smooth as it can be.

Whoah, actually looks pretty messed up. Do as unamanic told if gnome-tweak-tool doesn't work.
Maybe it works launched as root?

Re: how to change font manual at gnome 3 (gnome tweak tool crash)

Possibly time for the nuclear option...

log in to the console:

-From the login screen hit crtl + alt + F2
-Log in and issue the following command:
Code:
mv ~/.config/dconf/user ~/.config/dconf/user.bak

exit
- Go back to the login screen (it will either be crtl + alt F1 or crtl + alt + F7) and log back in.

This will remove all of the GNOME 3/gtk3 based application settings, so you'll have to begin customization again.

Re: how to change font manual at gnome 3 (gnome tweak tool crash)

I figured the problem was with your user font configuration, since allowinf Fedora to rebuild you dconf did not work, the problem must not be there. Does it happen for other users on the box? If it does your problem is system wide. If doesn't then it's a problem with a config file in your home directory. Either way we'll know how to proceed.

To create a new user from the command line:
-log in as root from a the console (crtl + alt F2)
-add the user:
Code:
useradd -m [username]
-then set the password:
Code:
passwd [username]
(replace [username] with the desired username)

If the new user is uneffected, then it is something in your home directory. Have you playd around with the user-themes extension perhaps? do you have a .themes directory in your hoe directory?
