newbie needs help please

I have a Dell XPS laptop, insperon 6000. I am trying to get the wireless card to work. So far here is what I have done.
I installed ndiswrapper threw yumex
then I added this in a terminal
/usr/sbin/ndiswrapper -i /panama/bcmwl/bcmwl5.inf and get
bcmw15 installed
/usr/sbin/ndiswrapper -l
I then get
driver installed, hardware present
I then type
modprobe ndiswrapper
and get
command not present

any help would be great

are you running as root when you run these commands?

You can either
1. logon as root directly
2. su - (be sure to put in the dash) to become root after logging in as a normal user.
