BTC PC-380 webcam on FC4

I have a BTC PC-380 webcam, which according to this page is somehow associated with "Sonix", "sn9c102" and "spca5xx". But this page suggests to use the kernel driver instead.

I installed Camorama FC3 rpm package (because I couldn't find an FC4 one) and when I start it up it says it could not connect to /dev/video0.

lsmod reports "videodev" and "video" but not "v4l"

The light comes on on the camera when I plug it in, and the /dev/video0 file exists, but I can't get it to respond.
