installing gigabit LAN drivers on p4C800 deluxe system

Hi, I'm using the latest fedora build for the first time and I know virtually nothing about linux. Sadly, I have previously dabbled in windows, but I have come around. I need to install the drivers for my LAN so I can connect to the internet (this is being written on a friend's computer) I downloaded linux ones from asus and copied them over on a floppy. Now how do I install them?

hope someone can help,

Hi jeffceth,

Can you shed some light on what drivers you're talking about and for what card?

I have the P4P800 board with I think has the same onboard NIC. It took me awhile to get it working. I just used a combination of the README and INSTALL docs that is on the CD that came with your motherboard. I just used the updated driver from the ASUS web site.

Sorry I don't have step by step instructions but googling will definately turn up some good results.
