Hi ... I have recently installed Fedora core 3 ... the system identified my sound card correctly , but when played to test sound , I coudn't hear any sound. Moreover, when I try to play a track using media players . I get "drive error" ....

I'll be thankfull if someone can help me on this issue .. or tell me where should i go to find more information.

Did you do a search on this site? There are many sound related issues that have been addressed. I would suggest if you have not done a search than start there.
