F16 - Asus 1215n random system freezes

I've got problem with my netbook (Asus 1215n), while normal work (writing in geany, browsing the net) system completely freezes every few minutes for 5 to 15 seconds.
From the sounds my netbook is making it seems like:
hard drive is slowing down -> system freezes -> hard drive is speeding up -> system unfreezes
I found that it might be problem with nVidia drivers so I've installed Ubuntu with Bumblebee but system was freezing the the same as at Fedora.
Is that the problem with hardware itself?

IMHO yes. Netbooks or notebooks with nVidia Optimus feature should be avoided At least as long as it isn't support via nVidias official driver for Linux.

But maybe anyone can help you a bit more.
