Mouse-Wheel Click -> Activities Menu

Hi. I'm only just testing out the new Verne distro, and I am loving what I see in general so far. However, if I could set up my account to recognize a scroll-wheel click on the mouse as being the same as the activities menu hot corner or windows key shortcut, I will be sold for good (I can get the rest in due time... but that's a personal preference that strikes very close to home for me)

So far, I'm not even able to get the computer to recognize a middle click as anything other than a left click... and I'm not sure where to even begin in the terminal yet. Can anyone please think of a solution?
