allternative-status-menu extension - no more working after gnome-shell update

Is there an easy fix for the alternative-status-menu extension? After today^s gnome-shell update it stopped working.
error message: extension is not compatible with current GNOME shell and/or GJS version

for me it is solved: I replaced it by this version from here
