joystick or mouse or keyboard stuck

I just installed Fedora, my first brush with Linux. When I go to play certain games, no gravity or raidem, the game acts like I'm constantly hitting the up key, or scrolling with my mouse wheel, or pushing a joystick up. I don't have a joystick, but the no gravity game displays that I've got one with 43 axis and 32 buttons when I to to 'calibrate' the non-existent device. I've got a USB and keyboard that I tried disconnecting, no luck there. I've got an onboard (laptop) touch pad, but it seems to work fine. Any clue how to fix this?
