Weather sometimes not displaying in Clock applet (F10)
Hi,
Fedora 10.
Kernel 2.6.27.25-170.2.72.fc10.i686
GNOME 2.24.3
I have the clock applet in a panel, and it is configured to show weather. Yes, I have set the location.
My problem is that after reboot, sometimes the weather is displayed, and sometimes it is not (though there is a gap for it). If it is not displayed, it does not reappear.
I suspect that what is happening (since I am using wireless networking) is that if the network is up in time, then all is well, but if the network is not, then the applet fails in attempting to get the weather details, and does not retry.
Am I on the right lines? Is there a fix or workaround for this? Is there some way to build a sleep delay in before starting the clock applet?
Thanks,
Palooka

Yes, I have F10 doing the same thing. Wasn't a problem until I got a wireless USB network adapter working (TL-WN321G - which worked 'out-of-the-box) !! Never had this happen with a hard-wired network adapter. BTW, I have F11 on another partition with the same wireless USB stick and this doesn't happen.
