FC2T3 problem on Thinkpad T20

Maybe some of you have seen this problem before and can help me out.

I just did a fresh install of Fedora Core 2 Test 3 on my IBM Thinkpad T20. Now, whenever I move the mouse or a window around the screen, horizontal and vertical garbage lines show up and flicker for a moment. When I stop moving, they go away.

If there is something I can add to this post to help diagnose the problem, let me know.

My video card is a S3 Savage IX. I'm reading more about this and it looks like x.org's savage driver isn't quite ready for prime time. Does anyone have an idea of where I can get new drivers?
