CSS and HL2, Only Black Screens, but sounds

Ive installed Steam and Half Life 2 without Problems... My ATI Drivers are correctly initialized and Loaded, and 3D acceleration is activated...

When i Start the game , the "Loading" screen Comes up and after that only a Black Screen, and a white Mouse Pointer... When i click or move with up/down i hear sounds, so the Program works... But ive got only a Black Screen... any Solutions ?

Half Life 2 is a little Bit different, ive got huge white box and sth.- like a strange Flashlight which turns across the screen...but the screen is black too and the sounds work well, the same like in CSS...

So can anyone tell me what to do and what to change ? maybe its only a programm of an wrong launching command :-)

greets benji
