How to rebuild my kernel

I have installed fedora core after downloading from the website and i have all the 5 cds with me.
now i want to rebuid my kernal because i want to update my iptables utility so i need to rebuild the kernel with new source of iptables.
I have two questions.
1 From where i can get the source code of my kernel is it inside some where in CDs or my system.
2 How to rebuild my kernel.

FC5 already has the latest release of iptables (1.3.5), why do you think you need to update it?
Anyway, the Release Notes tell the way to install the kernel source code.
