live cd issues

I tried installing f7 from a live cd but to no success. The installation hang and a error that the root file system can't be found is thrown. A suggestion to symlink /dev/root is given but I just don't know how to go around this. I have seen some threads on this but no solution given in the end.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hallo brethrap

1. change to a console with ctrl+alt+F1 or ctrl+alt+F2
2. Ther login.
3. enter mount

The question is now, if ther is any infomation about /dev/root ?
If the is no information abaut it, it isn't mounted. Now you can tay to mount in again.
I use KDE!
Many workstions and few servers running on Fedora or Scientific Linux professionally.
Using LINUX to do some scientific 3D-stuff.
