Exclamation How can I fix/reinstall GRUB?

I'm using Fedora 26. I ran out of space on my Fedora partition so I wanted to delete my Ubuntu 16.04 partition to make more space, but since deleting Ubuntu, when I boot it takes me to GRUB rescue, I've tried fixing it but i've decided to just try and reinstall GRUB. I tried using Boot Repair from my Ubuntu live session but when I enter
Code:
sudo chroot "/mnt/boot-sav/sda8" dpkg --configure -a
sudo chroot "/mnt/boot-sav/sda8" apt-get install -fy
sudo chroot "/mnt/boot-sav/sda8" apt-get purge -y --force-yes grub*-common grub-common:i386
It says that purge is an invalid operation, which it isn't when using apt in Ubuntu so i'm not sure what to do about that. Here is some info from Boot Repair https://pastebin.com/pad6pbvm I also have access to a Fedora USB so I can boot into that if required.

Re: How can I fix/reinstall GRUB?

if you have a live ISO you should be able to do

sudo grub2-install /dev/your_boot_drive
then you should be able to boot from that drive
and once you boot the F26 system
sudo grub2-install /dev/your_boot_drive

With the DVD iso of Fedora, there is a rescue mode. It's role is to discover your Fedora26 system and to tell you what to do as a next step.

I have not done a recovery in many years, but ... from memory
The rescue mode will mount the lost Fedora26 as sysimage.
The idea then is to move you away from / of the rescue to the / of the sysimage.
Once on the sysimage
run the switchover instructions to move your system to the sysimage and then
sudo grub2-install /dev/your_boot_drive
sudo grub2-install /dev/your_boot_drive

this is the output

Code:
Installing for i386-pc platform.
Installation finished. No error reported.
however, when i try to boot sda i still get taken to linux rescue

boot repair from Ubuntu won't work as Ubuntu GRUB is not the same build as Fedora GRUB. you could try using the Fedora workstation netinstall or server netinstall ISO to write GRUB again via the recovery environment.
