Laptop drivers need some help! F14

Hello i am lets say a new linux user and i have this "evil" laptop that just hates every linux distro! However fedora 14 is the first one that actualy works! So here is my trouble..
i have problem that drivers of my graphic card are not working its the ATI XPRESS 200M and its simply so much hassle i cannot belive it!
I am not extra experienced with linux but i can understand guides if some one can help me out!
When i lets say go to perfrences desktop effects and chose compiz everything just disapears ok its logic its not installed but shouldnt it say "compiz not installed not switching"? it than leaves me the wallpaper and i cannot get into verbos mode to swap it back or something its totaly weird! thats just one example... and i would like no password automatic login if some 1 knows how pls ...

quick question refrence:

1. drivers for ati xpress 200m (laptop LG LE50)
2. automatic login to user without password

Thank you!

2. automatic login to user without password
If you are a KDE user,

Menu Settings ->System Settings -> System Administration->Login Screen--> Convenience tab

For Gnome, see:

For the graphic card, I'm not expert in this area, and I let other members help you.

Re: Laptop drivers need some help! F14

You cannot use the ATI Propriatary drivers in any current version of Linux with that card. You have to use the open source ATI driver.

Sometimes using the nomodeset kernel boot option improves performance. It worked for me in F13, but not F14.
