A simple WEP access point with madwifi

hi there
I need to create a simple access point that uses WEP authentication with no key using DWA-556 with madwifi.
I hear that i can do this using iwconfig and ifconfig.

can anyone help me to do this?

and how many stations can connect at the same time to this WLAN?
