[SOLVED]Missing operating system message

I am running F10KDE, and I got fed up with K3b. I am dual-booting with WinVista. I want to upgrade to F11KDE, and keep Vista, too. So, I went to Vista and ran Roxio to make a bootable iso image of the F11 file. Success. Went to boot with the DVD I had just created as a supposed bootable DVD, and got a message: "Missing operating system." What did I do wrong, and how do I get it to work, please.

Best regards,

Hallo heAdmiral

no idea what are you tray to do with Roxio, but there is an easier way to upgrade to F11. See: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/YumUpg...-.3E_Fedora_11

Otherwise tray to burn your ISO image with K3b and do the disc-integrity-check before the installation.
Go to the menu Tools in K3b and chose "burn image to DVD"
I use KDE!
Many workstions and few servers running on Fedora or Scientific Linux professionally.
Using LINUX to do some scientific 3D-stuff.

You're referring to a Fedora ISO file. Right? You shouldn't choose the option to burn the ISO as a bootable disk. Instead look for an option related to burning an image file to disk. Not a data disk. Not a bootable disk. Not a bootable data disk. Some examples from various burning software apps...
Copy image to CD
Burn from Disc Image File
Burn Image
Disc Image or Saved Project

I solved this by using Tools in the menu bar of K3B.
System: HP Pavilion dv6500 Notebook PC Rev. 1
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T7500 @2.2GHz
Number of CPUs: 2 (32-bit)
System Memory: 3072MB
Fedora 16 KDE Verne
Windoze 7, SP1

System: Sony Vaio
Intel (R) Pentium (R) 4 CPU 2.8 GHz
System Memory: 992 MB RAM
Fedora 16
