Hardware RAID not detected in F24 install

Am having some major headaches upgrading an GA-D252TUD mobo from Fedora 15 to Fedora 22/23/24.

Using hardware RAID1 with an onboard JMicron JMB383 controller, which worked fine in F15 and still does. I can still use a F15 live/install disc and the RAID drive is detected perfectly.

Problem is none of the newer Fedora flavours detect it. I have tried F22, 23 and 24. Both live workstation and server installs, and even tried netinstalls for all three.

None will detect the RAID drive.

using a terminal I can see that mdadm can see the drive, as well as the sda + sdb disks which make up the raid drive.

using fdisk I can also see the RAID drive and create partitions if need be.

The installer detects nothing.

Any help please?
