Re: shutdown slow on fedora 24 kde

Here it is with F25 and alpha F26, and as yet, no solution.

What is the item that is not responding and thus holding up the reboot.

If I do a few ctl-breaks (less than 7), the timeout counter can be reduced to around 30 seconds from 90. If I do 7 successive ctl-breaks, the system is supposed to reboot, but it locks up.

sometimes happens with my F25 too. it seems to be more frequent in conjunction with opening a terminal window and running any commands with admin rights, otherwise it shuts down fine 9/10. I just let it do it's thing for the 90 seconds.

Re: shutdown slow on fedora 24 kde

check if its creating core dumps, if its benign and you dont want the dumps, switching them off speeds things up https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Core_dump
