I'm using Fedora 26. I ran out of space on my Fedora partition so I wanted to delete my Ubuntu 16.04 partition to make more space, but since deleting Ubuntu, when I boot it takes me to GRUB rescue, I've tried fixing it but i've decided to just try and reinstall GRUB. I tried using Boot Repair from my Ubuntu live session but when I enter
sudo chroot "/mnt/boot-sav/sda8" dpkg --configure -a
sudo chroot "/mnt/boot-sav/sda8" apt-get install -fy
sudo chroot "/mnt/boot-sav/sda8" apt-get purge -y --force-yes grub*-common grub-common:i386
It says that purge is an invalid operation, which it isn't when using apt in Ubuntu so i'm not sure what to do about that. Here is some info from Boot Repair https://pastebin.com/pad6pbvm
I also have access to a Fedora USB so I can boot into that if required.
