Posting In The Forum
As described in the FAQ, to begin a thread, click on the Forums link at the top of the page and select the proper Forum for your post. Once inside the Forum, look for the New Thread button on the top left or bottom left (see attached screenshot). Click on it and begin to create your thread. NOTE: Spammers sometimes get past our defenses and post junk in the Forum. In an attempt to cut down on the garbage, posts from new members that contain links are "moderated" , which means that a Staff member has to review and approve the post or thread before it becomes visible to the Forum. So, please be patient if moderation is required.
Before posting in the Forum, we ask that you take a few minutes to click on the Posting Rules and FAQ links at the top of the page and read them carefully. They are there to make sure you get prompt answers to your questions and avoid problems in the Forum.
Each sub-forum has a description of its contents, which may help you to post in the right one. If you find you posted in the wrong one afterwards, just ask any of the Community Managers or Administrators to move your post but please don't 'double-post'; that's not permitted.
Also, please remember that we have members from every country in the world searching our Forum for answers. Many do not speak English as a first language, so please try to make it easy on them to understand the posts by avoiding texting shortcuts, slang, etc. Also to respect other cultures, we do not accept posts with religious or political opinions. Likewise, with young members involved, we limit sexual content, illegal activities and swearing in the posts.
Follow-up posts on your thread are permitted, if they mention actions YOU took to solve your problem and their results. "Bumping" a thread just to get it back to the top of the list is not permitted. Please be patient waiting for members to assist you, however if you have had no responses after a full day, you may mention once that the problem still exists.
Finally, as you may imagine, we have spammers constantly trying to post in the Forum. They are banned and their posts removed as quickly as possible, but it can be difficult to recognize a clever spammer from a member who's innocently posting a link to a favorite site. To avoid being removed from the Forum by mistake, please check with a Community Manager or Administrator before posting that link.
