Cannot Install From Gnome-Software

fc25 - Gnome

When I try to install any app from gnome-software, I get the following message:

Code:
Detailed errors from the package manager follow:

installing not available
I had previously masked packagekit, because it was downloading while I was trying to get on the Internet. I then unmasked it and added packagekit to Gnome Extension "Services systemd." I think I turned it off once; but have left it on ever since.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Re: Cannot Install From Gnome-Software

Try re-installing gnome-software as root user using DNF - it may restore any broken connections to PackageKit
Code:
# dnf reinstall gnome-software

Re: Cannot Install From Gnome-Software

You can only use dnf from a terminal
To open a terminal with gnome, enter ctl-alt-f3 (use f3 ). To return, use ctl-alt-F2.

When in terminal mode, issue sudo dnf update

That's what I did. Please notice that I executed the previous command from a terminal as "root."

That's what the hash mark means.

[xxxxx@localhost ~]$ su
Password:
[root@localhost xxxxx]#

# dnf reinstall gnome-software
