Kernel 4.11 Released

Kernel 4.11 is released. This is the first time I can remember when openSUSE KOTD got a new kernel before the Rawhide repos

Re: Kernel 4.11 Released

rawhide repositories have kernel 4.11.0-1.fc27 (released version). F26 is not rawhide it is a branched release at alpha stage.

also since the F26 repositories are carrying 4.11.0-0.rc8 you can be sure that the update to the release build will follow shortly. the release ISO may well contain 4.11.0-1 or newer.

Re: Kernel 4.11 Released

Ah. Thank you. I have not worked with Fedora for awhile and assumed that Fedora 26 was Rawhide. I will update my Fedora VMs to Rawhide.

Re: Kernel 4.11 Released

Yes I am updating to Fedora Rawhide (Fedora 27) now and indeed it does have the 4.11 kernel.

Rawhide seems to even have 4.12-rc0

Re: Kernel 4.11 Released

There is a Fedora26 set of isos as Rawhide (Fedora27) is too raw.

Re: Kernel 4.11 Released

FYI, there won't be any more alphas for future versions of fedora. from F27 onwards the rawhide builds will be branched straight to beta
