Nightly Spins

I have dedicated about 1 hr per day to downloading and testing the F26Gnome Nightly Spin. from Happy Assassin.

For a few days, I have encountered problems, ranging from the space bar not being recognized in lower case, to Gnome complaining that the shell has crashed (in Wayland).

Testing with Gnome.org or terminal mode works just fine.
I am always wondering, where to post the issues I encountered.
Moving forward from F26 Alpha1 works just fine. It is just the nightly spin for Gnome Network Install that is causing me grief. I really am not interested in testing the live ISO as its a large download.

There is a bug report against alpha's, beta's but not nightly spins. Perhaps there is a spin bugzilla entry or another place to perform such a report.

you have to report against the individual component causing problems stating the version number, not the image itself

so if the Original Poster thought there was a missing package, he could not file a bug report?

Re: Nightly Spins

you'd file a feature request. however, nightly ISOs are not officially supported as images in their own right.

These images are NOT official Fedora pre-releases. For assistance, contact #fedora-qa on Freenode IRC or the test@ mailing list.

Re: Nightly Spins

I filed a few bug reports regarding F26 alphas (Network install version). One was for GCC7 (frivolous warning/error messages).
One for anaconda
One for Region/language
One for keyboard issue

Re: Nightly Spins

Since the alphaF26 spin, I have been having keyboard problems with F26. I always do a Network installation using the netinstall iso. After booting, in gui mode the lower case space bar is blocked. Have to press shift to enter a space character. Virtual terminal works fine.

Anaconda always gets my timezone wrong. It thinks I am in the mid-west, instead of USA/Canada East. I have to tell it Toronto or New York as the time to use.

and if I have Fedora 25 on /dev/sdb and I want to install xfce onto /dev/sdc (keeping the distributions apart) and
I have 2 common files on /dev/sdb, anaconda will always take the biosboot from the lower addressed disk partition. There is no way around that. (The intent is to make /dev/sdb disappear). Bugzilla entries made for these two.
