netcdf in linux

Can anyone help me with any link of download files of netcdf and installation of netcdf in linux OS.

Actually, I am using, cdo software, to read .grb wind files. When I try to open a file, using cdo software, it is showing the error as below

cdo -f nc copy nww3.wind.199802.grb nww3.wind.199802.nc

cdo copy: Open failed on nww3.wind.199802.nc
Unsupported file type (library support not compiled in)

In the system requirements of this cdo software, it is written that netcdf should be installed earlier. As I didnt install that , I think, to give one more trail by installing netcdf in linux.

Please help me with netcdf files (from where to download) and the installation procedure

Thanku & regards
