Angry claws-mail-3.7.3.fc12.x86_64 / missing toolbar

I just upgraded from fc11 to fc12 with a great deal of trouble...finally am partially functional. <g>

The problem really bugging me is the missing claws-mail toolbar that shows "tools", addressbook, encrypt/decrypt, and especially the ability to load plugins, and set all preferances.

I have tried uninstalling & reinstalling but nothing provides the toolbar I need.

yum does not provide anything new either....I really need to get this fixed...as most
of my important passwords are encrypted, and I need the claws pgp plugin to be loaded.

I've googled...read bug reports...but no answers.

Any help is appreciated.

Since original post I've used yum remove claws-mail then yum install claws-mail. Display
came up with same........ missing toolbar.

Then I renamed ~/.claws-mail to ".bak"....then clicked icon to wake up the install
wizard which doesn't run when rpm is installed......still missing toolbar !!!!

I've been searching the various rc files for anything that might make the
top toolbar become visible....switching on...checking....if no toolbar changing
back to original setting......absolutely no luck.

I'm frustrated.....and feeling more so each day as I need access to all aspects
of the top toolbar.......am I missing something ??????

today.....Dec. 9th....bugzilla.claws-mail closed my bug report saying there was nothing they could offer, and problem was probably the packager's fault ( Fedora 12 rpm )...and so far I have heard nothing from them yet.

I can not believe that I'm the only one having this particular problem.

Smile missing toolbar fix found

UREKA !!!!!! .....found the answer at

there's a conflict that the rpm doesn't take into account.

If you remove:

gnome-globalmenu-common.x86_64 0:0.7.8-1.fc12

Dependency Removed:
gnome-applet-globalmenu.x86_64 0:0.7.8-1.fc12 gnome-globalmenu-devel.x86_64

Then the top toolbar miraculously appears.

This also works for terminal, gftp, etc. toolbars which were also

To be safe in the future I added gnome-globalmenu-common* in yum exclude.
