Uprecords uptimed no useable database found

Hi. I'm somewhat new to Fedora, though I've dabbled with Gentoo for a number of years. I installed the package "uptimed", but every time I run uprecords I get a message:
 uptimed: no useable database found.
So far, my searches in the internet have found no help, and the man pages for both uptimed and uprecords also provide no help.

Any ideas? I'm running FC17 on x86_64 with seLinux installed.
