httpd/perl changes with Fedora 17? (chrooted?)

Did something changed with the way the httpd server runs on Fedora 17?
It seems that somehow the server is chrooted or can't get to parts of the file system (e.g. smb mounts) that it used to under Fedora 16.
Either that or perl (not mod-perl) as spawned from httpd can't get to those places.

What exactly is the error message?

Check your permissions and seLinux configuration. Do you get any seLinux errors?

Also check /var/log/messages and your apache log files.
