Gnome 3 in Fedora 16 on VMWare 8.0.1 possible?

I recently installed Fedora 16 on a VM in VMWare 8.0.1 build-528992, I already installed the VMWare tools successfully also I activated the Hardware Acceleration on the VM Settings.

I'm trying to get the Gnome 3 Shell working so far whenever I do

gnome-shell --replace &
It enables the gnome-shell, when I press the logo key I get the fancy dashboard. The problem is that if I restart the changes are lost.

Is there a way to have Gnome 3 working properly?

Thank you
