F26 Development Forum F26 Development Forum Pretty much exactly what it sounds like it is. This is the place to discuss and assist in the community development of F26. WARNING: Any pre-release versions, Beta included, are for experienced testers only. Back up all existing data and read all threads in the version Development Forum before attempting an install. Errors can and will likely occur which may include data destruction or inability to boot other partitions on any and possibly all attached hard drives. While FedoraProject needs and appreciates testers, you must remember to report issues directly to Bugzilla, after checking for pre-existing bugs.

dnfdragora

thoughts so far, feel free to add your own. overall for me it's a thumbs up as it works better than yumex-dnf with regards package processing already

pros:

good package information and layout so easy to find it
simple user interface
good dependency resolution
clear dialogues in popup windows

cons:
the need to cache groups every time it opens
no apparent option to only toggle display of most recent package only
no confirmation packages have installed successfully as for all intensive purposes it doesn't look like it did anything at all (e.g. execute dnfdragora from right-clicking a downloaded rpm in file manager, no way of knowing it's installed other than searching for it)

Re: dnfdragora

been there, contributed my tuppence worth. for F24 and F25 dnfdragora is backported and has to work with dnf 1 instead of dnf 2 which fedora 26 has. so not really the same scenario which is why I opened a separate thread for it here in the F26 development section

Re: dnfdragora

Sorry @antikythera

I tend to view all the topics in all the forums from the daily page, and don't pay attention to which forum each new topic is posted in. Obviously, I need to do that.

Re: dnfdragora

Yep dnfdragora needs to fix that missing information problem

UI is ugly, lots of spaces in the hud not being used, especially the icon, should be in the about dialog (forgot its there or not)

But the good news is less crash I think...
