Autoplay video DVDs with videolan (KDE)

How can I make KDE autoplay my DVDs with VideoLan Client?

I'm pretty sure I'm almost there.
When I go to Control Centre -> Peripherals -> Storage Media
and write for Video DVD:
xine dvd:/ #%u
(found this on the internet) xine fires up ok. But I want VLC for a reason and can't make it work. Have tried vlc dvd://, vlc dvd:///dev/hdc, all give the same error: folder found but a file was expected.

vlc dvd:/ #%u doesn't give an error but just opens vlc without playing the dvd.
