upgrade to from f12 to f13 mouse-scroll very fast

    hi,

yesterday i upgraded to f13 and it works perfect with preupgrade but now my mouse-scroll are very fast. under the mouse-settings in gnome i fund no option to lower the speed.
where can i lower the scroll-speed?

    greetings

Is this an external mouse or an internal touchpad? If it is internal, it would be helpful to know the laptop model and if it is external, the model of the mouse would be interesting.

Re: upgrade to from f12 to f13 mouse-scroll very fast

I am experiencing the same problem using Fedora 17. I cannot find any option to adjust the mousewheel scroll speed or lines per wheel click.

I'm running a Microsoft 'wireless mobile mouse 1000' on an MSi A6205 laptop. I'm running Firefox 13.0 as my browser and checked the 'about:config' 'mousewheel.withshiftkey.numlines' setting was at the lowest setting (1) which exhausts all the options I can think of that might set the scroll to jump pages at a time. The scroll issue seems to be system wide, it does the same thing using Document Viewer 3.4.0 viewing .pdf documents.

    Any ideas????

    Fedora 17 is EOL now?

    Upgrade to Firefox 14.0.1 ;-)

    Try

    Code:
    xset m default
What events do you get with xev if you move the wheel just up and down one click?

    Code:
ButtonPress event, serial 32, synthetic NO, window 0x2600001,
        root 0xbb, subw 0x0, time 26964546, (79,60), root:(1145,488),
        state 0x0, button 4, same_screen YES

ButtonRelease event, serial 32, synthetic NO, window 0x2600001,
        root 0xbb, subw 0x0, time 26964546, (79,60), root:(1145,488),
        state 0x800, button 4, same_screen YES

ButtonPress event, serial 32, synthetic NO, window 0x2600001,
        root 0xbb, subw 0x0, time 26965274, (79,60), root:(1145,488),
        state 0x0, button 5, same_screen YES

ButtonRelease event, serial 32, synthetic NO, window 0x2600001,
        root 0xbb, subw 0x0, time 26965274, (79,60), root:(1145,488),
        state 0x1000, button 5, same_screen YES

xset m default doesn't seem to make any difference.

xev returns the following, keeping in mind it's recorded mouse side movement etc as well as the wheel scroll, mostly one click but there may be some double clicks there too:

    Code:
MotionNotify event, serial 32, synthetic NO, window 0x2a00001,
        root 0xac, subw 0x0, time 68978092, (173,10), root:(174,69),

    Update:

After a reboot it now seems to have changed so I guess xset m default did change things, just needed a reboot to complete the changes. Thanks George.
