Frustrating connection issue

I am using a mixed network of windows and fedora 15. One particular fedora box used to be perfect but now the following behavior.

1... No other box including other fedora boxes can ping the one system
2.. The box in question can ping most other boxes
3.. The box has full internet access over the same network as the rest
4.. The box connects to windows shares without issue
5.. No longer able to use remote to get into this box, no changes made just started out of nowhere.

IP is assigned from cisco router, set to static ip issued by router however have set manual configuration on local pc but no difference. Have tried with firewall on and off so ruled that out also.

Any help is appreciated. No other network issues exist.

Re: Frustrating connection issue

# They can't ping on any port or ssh in? Or is it that they can't see the samba shares?

# there is a line in smb.conf
# interfaces = lo eth0 192.168.1.$$$/24
# if your ip has changed but that ip hasn't been updated your shares may not be visible

# also check
systemctl status nmb.service
systemctl status smb.service
# recheck your firewall & selinux settings

# all of these should be installed
yum list samba samba-client samba-common samba-winbind-clients

# have you performed any updates or moved this box to a different branch of the network?
