f16-wine-sketchup won't run

I have F-16 (x86-64), wine 1.3.29 and SketchUp 8 and am having problems getting them working. I think wine is installed OK as notepad works fine. Starting SketchUp from within wine, with the icon in the applications menu or from the residing directory (as user) in terminal, I get an error message.

It says Windows has encountered a serious problem... but doesn't elaborate.

From terminal I get the following;

$ wine SketchUp

I followed wine and sketchup's instructions. I have gone over the steps several times and just can't see where I am making mistakes.

Thanks in advance for suggestions.

That boy is about 2 giga bytes short of RAM
He's working on a keyboard that just doesn't have any letter or number markings
Somebody has been messing with the software code in her computer
There's someone working on a computer withthe I/O ports crossed
