Gnome Shell Extension systemMonitor

How does one install the systemMonitor shell extension for Gnome 3? I've tried using both the system-monitor@paradoxxx.zero.gmail.com and the systemMonitor@gnome-shell-extensions.gnome.org variants from the GIT repository.

The build for the gnome.org variant failed until I installed libgtop2-devel, but after that it built just fine. For one of the two, I even got the slider bar to appear in gnome-tweak-tool, but the slider was grayed out and wouldn't switch to "on" for me.

What am I doing wrong? Also, are there plans to create the "gnome-shell-extensions-systemMonitor" package in the YUM repository?
