Relabel a flash-drive..?

I copied Fedora ISO to this flash.. then deleted it from the flash after transferring it to the other tower..
Now when this flash is mounted, it's titled "FEDORA", no longer "disc image"... And that's a good thing...
How do I force change of flash drive titles..? I wants to relabel all my flashes...

Re: Relabel a flash-drive..?

Depending on how the flash drive is formatted, you may wish to use the commands dosfslabel, or e2label.

Re: Relabel a flash-drive..?

if the Flash formatted as : Fat fs ; use dosfslabel

dosfslabel device [label]

ntfslabel device [new-label]
Example :

ntfslabel /dev/sdb1 WD
Ext2,3,4 :

tune2fs -L <Label> <device>
Example :

#tune2fs -L F14-Boot /dev/sda3
tune2fs 1.41.12 (17-May-2010)
