can not open a temporary file for `/var/lib/mlocate/mlocate.db'

Hi this is what I got when doing updatedb: "updatedb: can not open a temporary file for `/var/lib/mlocate/mlocate.db'" Any idea what is wrong? Thanks,

You need to be root when using the updatedb command.
