Dual boot is broken.

I have a laptop (HP dv9548) with 2 hard drives. XP was installed on sda, Fedora 9 on sdb. I "upgraded" xp to vista, and now I dont see the grub boot loader any longer. It boots into vista automatically.

Can someone help me fix this?

  1. Boot with your Fedora 9 disk and choose "Rescue installed system"
  2. Follow directions and answer prompts (network will not be needed)
  3. When you eventually arrive at the sh prompt, enter chroot /mnt/sysimage
  4. At the next prompt, enter grub-install /dev/sda
  5. At the next prompt, enter exit to leave linux rescue
  6. At the next prompt, enter exit again to reboot.
  7. Boot into Fedora and edit grub.conf for the change to Vista (probably just the old XP section's title command)
