Basically FC7 comes up on my Lenovo T60 laptop, i get to the console login type : service network restart and my system hangs thgere forever... i can stop by "ctrl+c" then get to the prompt and when i type ifconfig - then it freezes totally.

ok a short update, downloading a fresh stable kernel solves the stupid problem with networking. I would love to ask fedora developers - WHY do they have to tweak kernel code this bad that it causing serious issues like this on some very modern and descent hardware?

this does create a bad record for FC .

Although i do like Fedora, this sort of things really do drive me nuts.

In contrast: on my desktop FC7 works pretty good out of the box.

I too have a T-60 and I am interested in upgrading to FC 7. What kernel are you now using and what kind of wifi card and video chip does you laptop use. Thank you for your help.
