    Stupid SATA question

I have a dual boot type of situation going on where I have XP on an SATA drive and FC4 on an IDE drive. Everything is working fine (as far as I can tell), but I can't find the SATA drive from FC4. If the SATA drive was mounted where would it be? I didn't actually set anything up for the SATA drive on the FC4 install, so maybe I need to enable something, I guess I just assumed it would be automounted. GRUB found it and named it sda but I can't find sda anywhere in /dev or /mount or /media or any other places I thought I could find it.

Fedora doesn't automount any foreign filesystems (e.g. Windows ones) on hard disks. You must create suitable mount points and edit /etc/fstab. If the Windows partitions are NTFS, you must install NTFS drivers first.

are you sure your system can even use the sata controller, let alone mount the ntfs-formatted sata drive?

Well, seeing as how I got it to work.... yes, I'm fairly sure my system can use it and mount it.
