Is this old news? I couldn't find a thing. This is boring stuff, but someone here has helped me, so I'm passing this on.

Does it annoy you that fedora just lists everything with 'ls -a' while inserting hidden files anywhere it wants? Personally, I like the standard (posix) of putting hidden files first.

You just have to change your LANG environment variable and edit /etc/sysconfig/i18n.

Like so:

Code:
LANG=POSIX
export LANG
Change 'LANG=en_US.UTF-8' in /etc/sysconfig/i18n to LANG=POSIX

If anyone has any thoughts as to why fedora breaks from the posix standard?
