    Network functions stall

I installed the Fedora 29 version with kernel 5.2.11-100.fc29.x86_64

Almost every day, for no apparent reason, at a certain moment the network functions stall.
The browser waits unanswered, and the networking commands also stall and will not respond:
    ifconfig, iwlist, ...

The connection to the lan is by ethernet cable.

I don't see any anomalies in the logs. NetworkManager does not fall: if I issue the command "systemctl status NetworkManager.service", it returns to me "running service".

But it seems to be the service responsible ...
The nm-applet applet tells me "Network Manager is not running" and network services are disabled.

I tried to restart "systemctl restart NetworkManager.service" but it reported some timeouts in the process of killing processes and failed to restart the service, which remained with status "failed".

In the journal (journalctl --unit NetworkManager) there were no particular anomaly messages, but only info on connections / disconnections of the wifi interface (which I'm not using). Normal things.

The other functions, that operate locally, seem to work.

Now, after rebooting, I have selected a different kernel (5.2.7-100.fc29.x86_64) and will see if the problem will occur anyway.

The only solution at the moment is the reboot. Then everything starts working well again from a few hours.

Can you help me understand where the problem may be?

    Thank you

    Re: Network functions stall

Unfortunately the kernel change (return from 5.2.11-100.fc29.x86_64 to 5.2.7-100.fc29.x86_64) has solved nothing.
