    Wifi stopped working after update?

I am running Fedora 30 on a Dell XPS 15 2017 edition. The wifi adapter was working fine until this morning, when GNOME mysteriously appeared to crash and restarted in the middle of a "sudo dnf update". After restarting the computer, "sudo dnf update" appeared to complete as usual, with the curious problem that the laptop wifi appeared to stop working. I currently notice the following symptoms:

    1. The wifi tab in GNOME settings complains that "No Wifi adapter found".
    2. Turning the wifi off and on using the Fn-PrtScr shortcut on the keyboard appears to not help.
    3. The output of "sudo inxi -Fxmz" is available at https://pastebin.com/50Uu2Jxm
    4. lspci says "02:00.0 Network controller: Qualcomm Atheros QCA6174 802.11ac Wireless Network Adapter (rev 32)" and "lspci -k" says
"02:00.0 Network controller: Qualcomm Atheros QCA6174 802.11ac Wireless Network Adapter (rev 32)
Subsystem: Bigfoot Networks, Inc. Device 1535
      Kernel driver in use: ath10k_pci
      Kernel modules: ath10k_pci".

This seems to indicate that the kernel wireless drivers are working.
    5. "rfkill list" says "1: phy0: Wireless LAN
      Soft blocked: no
      Hard blocked: no
      2: hci0: Bluetooth
      Soft blocked: no
Hard blocked: no". Therefore, I do not believe that the cause of the wifi problems is a software / hardware switch being in the wrong position.
    6. ifconfig does not appear to list anything corresponding to the wifi adapter.
    7. iwconfig says "wlp2s0 IEEE 802.11 ESSID:off/any
      Mode:Managed Access Point: Not-Associated Tx-Power=0 dBm
      Retry short limit:7 RTS thr:off Fragment thr:off
      Power Management:on"
    8. "nmcli device status" says "wlp2s0 wifi unavailable --"

I do not understand the Fedora network infrastructure and stack well enough to even begin debugging this problem. Can someone please help me fix the problem of wifi not working, or at least point to how I should go about diagnosing it?
