Keyboard shortcut to change keyboard layout

I'm using i3 and can change keyboard layouts using 'system-config-keyboard'. However it requires sudo, i'm trying to add a keyboard shortcut in i3 such as

    Code:
    bindsym <shortcut> exec system-config-keyboard --noui <language>
as it requires sudo I can't do it, are there any ways around this or alternatives to system-config-keyboard?
