Fedora 30 as minimal as possible

Hello everyone, I'm new Fedora user
I've been using Linux for half year (mostly Arch and Ubuntu) and now, I'll try Fedora. I'm looking for as minimal distribution as possible. I noticed, that network installation image contains two options: custom and minimal install. What's the difference? How to install only required Wayland packages without X, or how to install only basic X packages if Wayland won't work properly?
I prefer GNOME over KDE, but I'd try both.

This doesn't answer your question, but I strongly suggest doing yourself a favor and just installing from a live iso. I find it easier to delete what I don't want than to go through the gyrations of adding what I need. However, YMMV.

If you install, any USB or CD will give you the option for a minimal install. I prefer to do that and add X afterwards, but both Gnome and KDE, being desktop environments, will add a great deal of stuff. I have an old page (mentions yum rather than dnf) for a more minimal install if you wanted to use a window manager rather than desktop environment. http://srobb.net/minimaldesktop.html
