    Re: Installin AMD Radeon driver

    why do you need another driver?

    I've got an AMD Radeon "RX..something" card and Fedora 30 supports it by default with hardware acceleration + opengl.

    There was no need to install another driver.

    Re: Installin AMD Radeon driver

    Ah interesting, this is an older chipset (from around 2015) code named "Tonga" or something, based on this wikipedia article (see the "Radeon Feature Matrix", under the column "Southern Islands"):

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AMD_Ra...s#cite_note-54

    apparently, its support within the amdgpu driver is disabled by default, for some reason, at least based on this article:

    https://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?pa...PU-SI-Next-4.9

    maybe its something you can enable via a kernel parameter?

    Re: Installin AMD Radeon driver

    okafter sometime i fund that all the problem was in the file:
    /etc/default/grub
    at the line:
    GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="resume=/dev/mapper/fedora_localhost--live-swap rd.lvm.lv=fedora_localhost-live/root rd.lvm.lv=fedora_localhost-live/swap rhgb quiet"
    had to delet "nomodeset" that was there, so everything work fine after this.

    ps: after change the grub file u need to exectute the command grub2-mkconfig with ur boot parameters to the changes work
