On the Road to Fedora Workstation 31

    Christian Schaller post about Fedora31
Likely to be fully Wayland functional.
(I hope not, as I have a few gnome extensions that crash, and thus far, the only means of restart is to log out and log back in)

Info about Wayland graphics (Nvidia etc).

Info about PipeWire and Pulse Audio's on the road to deprecation.

Work on Flatpak in Fedora is continuing

Work is progressing on the Fedora Toolbox, our tool for making working with pet containers feel simple and straightforward.

Major invested time and effort on improving the Classic mode workspace switcher to make life better for people who use a very workspace centric workflow.

The post is much more detailed information about the above topics and as well, other items being developped.

I wouldn't worry, I don't read that as their completely dropping Xorg. I read it as you will be able to run Wayland without Xorg at all unless you launch an Xorg app. Xorg isn't going anywhere.

    Hi HaydenH

As I pointed out some two years ago, all keyboard functionality (timings, layouts, LED management, character sets) are determined by keyboard model and language. My keyboard is a PC105 physical layout, and I use the Canadian French key arrangements. I edit one xorg file in order to add the yen character and the Euro.
I have not seen where Wayland has their alternative to Xorg for keyboard support.
