    Re: System crashing after update

I think HELP indicates kernel panic. If you set kernel/OS chooser to appear, it might be offering you a previous kernel? If you don't see it, try pressing any key repeatedly after computer powers on (any alphanumeric that is)...

    Re: System crashing after update

Alright, this is the boot loader/kernel loader screen. It tells you two things: it is looking for a 'rescue' disk, which is usually what the "live USB" is referred as. The other error means there are no kernels to be found, which means either a) system was not installed or b) the kernel is not on the disk you are trying to boot from

At this point, you can try booting a USB image of Fedora and see if there is something not right with the "Disks" application in GNOME. Otherwise, there are boot loader commands that can help you point the boot loader to a loadable kernel.

As a starting point of reference see

    https://www.linux.com/learn/how-resc...g-grub-2-linux
    and
    https://help.gnome.org/users/gnome-h...able/disk.html

And don't panic. There are many things you can do to get out of situations like this. Start with the above links...

P.S. Make sure USB storage devices are disconnected before you try to boot an "installed" system, or alternately, make sure BIOS disregards USB storage devices on power-on.
