Re: Is there a SweetHome3D package for Fedora?

Maryyy, looks like FFedora grabbed this post: http://www.sweethome3d.com/support/f...02018C9ECDB8A9 Or maybe this one: http://www.sweethome3d.com/support/f...ad_thread,4213
but didn't notice that it's about Windows. So, nope, won't help.

    Hello to you all.

and you right about that fix part !!
Just what I did not add to the fix that to run that software,it will need the win4linux+winetricks+plyonlinux.
so yes that fix will work for him when he run the software on wine.

I can have a deeper look tomorrow, but you may want to try running "glxgears" ("dnf install glxgears" if needed) to see if that's working as a first point of call, it might give a more useful error if it's not.

So, wonderful! Now everyone except tashirosgt (one of our original and most-skilled Forum members) has this running. Guys, I'm going to bow out so I'm not cluttering up the thread with stuff that's not needed.

    Maryyy.... Days will tell right.

SO....After I said that we will need those 3 software to be install, the idea is that one update the Othere.
And playonlinux has the Directx that can be install from that software to the wine Drive.
Just for the record I did not get any errors during the process, not on wine/not on playonlinux.
So here is the install of Directx from playonlinux/that sync with wine and update wine.

And here you can see that I install the package for 64 bit.

Here we have opengl Direct Drew+GLSL support Enable.

Here you can see that java supported in the process and install.

And here is the second Test = install the software with playonlinux.

Now you know that you can install the software Direct with wine.
And you can install the software with playonlinux as well.

Hope we cover all around, and you have all the Answers for the post installation of SweetHome3D,
    ON FEDORA - 30.

God Bless and Good Luck to you all.

Re: Is there a SweetHome3D package for Fedora?

The SweetHome3D webpage suggests running SweetHome3D-Java3D-1_5_2 instead of SweetHome3D. That works.

My backspace key seems to be getting a lot of use these days.

tashirosgt, glad you got it working! What are you using it for? As I mentioned, I designed my Kitchen with it which was a lot quicker than actually fitting the kitchen!

I'll try using it in remodellng a fixer-upper house. A real fixer upper ! - the old cast iron sewer line leaked under the concrete slab. We've jackhammered and excavated a trench across the house to replace the line. Once a bathroom has a big trench across its floor, you may as well remodel it.
